Student Success with the Stock Market Game

In Business 7, the 7^th grade students are split into teams to play the Stock Market Game. We begin by learning about companies, stock, ticker symbols, risk, and diversification. Then, students get in their assigned teams and choose companies to purchase using the fictional $100,000 they are given. Throughout the semester, they are able to buy more, sell, or just track their progress. One of the teams from 1^st quarter won for the fall semester! The team made up of Elise Bearnes, Dominic Howells, and Braiden Williams-Varley turned $100,000 into $108,569 in just a semester! The students were honored at the Banquet of Champions in Lincoln on May 2^nd. They each received a certificate, and they were presented with a team trophy. Congratulations to all three students!
