Quiz Bowl at Districts, Conference Tournaments

The High School quiz bowl team competed at the ESU 7 District meet on April 8 in Fullerton. Team members included Emily, Kane, Kyle, Graci, Eric, and Ella. After defeating High Plains in the first round, we lost in overtime to Columbus, 65-70. In the consolation bracket, we lost to a good East Butler team and were eliminated. There were 21 schools in attendance, and we advanced to the top half of teams competing!

On April 10, the MS and HS teams travelled to Doniphan for the Lou-Platte conference meet. Team members included Emily, Jordan, Kane, Kyle, Jackson, Eric, Graci, and Ella. We lost a close match to Doniphan-Trumbull in the first round, but strung together wins over Arcadia, Ord, and a rematch with D-T to reach the consolation final, where we fell to eventual runner-up Loup City. We did take home a 3rd place finish from this event, our best finish in over a decade at a conference meet!
